IMI Wins Outstanding Interactive Application for their Social Media & Content Marketing Strategy

SAN DIEGO, April 9, 2015 – Internet Marketing Inc., a full service digital marketing agency headquartered in San Diego announced they won an Internet Advertising Competition Award (IAC) for “Outstanding Interactive Application” from the Web Marketing Association. The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition exclusively to online advertising.

The Web Marketing Association is in its 13th year and honors excellence in online advertising; recognizing the individuals and organizations responsible for the best in Internet marketing. The winners are selected for the IAC award based off of these seven criteria – creativity, innovation, impact, design, copywriting, use of medium and memorability.

The award for Outstanding Interactive Application presented to Internet Marketing Inc. (IMI) and their client Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series was for a creative 9-question multiple choice interactive online quiz that asks the question “Which Running Destination Fits Your Personality?” The quiz walks the user through a visual journey, choosing the destination and corresponding race that best fits their personality.

Partnering with the World’s largest running series, Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series, with more than 500,000 runners taking part in 28 destination events around the world, IMI was able to launch a social media and content marketing campaign that would increase brand awareness and race registrations through a boost in traffic to Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series’ website. The quiz was heavily promoted through Facebook and Twitter posts, paid media ads on Facebook and Twitter and was introduced to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series database through email marketing. The results were fantastic. The quiz was taken 34,434 times from December 17, 2014 – January 16, 2015 and ranked 3rd on Google for “Running Destination.”
