The Ragan Awards, held on Thursday, November 6, 2014, recognized the top content marketing organizations and agencies in a number of categories including awards for best article, blog, content series, infographic, website, use of social media, or video.
Internet Marketing Inc. (IMI) and ARIA Resort & Casino were awarded Best Infographic for the incredible design and results of “The Las Vegas Million Dollar Weekend Checklist” infographic, including coverage from local and national media.
IMI wants to congratulate the honorable mentions within the best infographic category including GovLoop, SpareFoot, PPLCONNECT, Mulberry Marketing Communications for Cintas Corporation, StrategicAmpersand for TekSavvy, and IHG, who also had eye-catching designs.
The infographic from SpareFoot, “Portland vs. Austin – Which One is Weirdest” was truly impressive. Their infographic was entertaining and interesting and IMI is honored to have won the award, knowing we were going up against some great competition.
IMI and ARIA Resort & Casino’s goal was to create a potentially viral piece of content that was shareable and could gain strong links to ARIA’s website. Backlinks are still the number one ranking factor in Google’s Search Engine. The amount of high-quality backlinks from authoritative sites has a direct impact on keyword ranking performance and the authority of ARIA’s website.
The image-rich infographic told the story of an extravagant Las Vegas weekend, highlighting lavish experiences and activities. It gives the viewer a taste of a high roller’s million dollar Las Vegas endeavors, beginning with arrival by private jet, limo service, Sky Villa accommodations, luxurious dinners, private tours, and one of a kind events.
The results of the infographic were impressive, with shares on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn. Top linking websites included Forbes, Robbreport, Justluxe, Reddit and more.
