Internet Marketing Inc. Welcomes A New CFO

San Diego, CA – Internet Marketing Inc., a full service digital marketing agency headquartered in San Diego, appointed Dan Romeo as their Chief Financial Officer in September 2014. In his short time at Internet Marketing Inc. (IMI), Romeo has already been selected as a finalist for San Diego Business Journal’s 2015 CFO of the Year Awards.

After graduating from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick with a degree in marketing, Romeo started a successful career as an analyst at Google and then Rosetta. At Rosetta, a large digital marketing agency headquartered in New Jersey with offices worldwide, Romeo managed roughly $150 million in revenue and $85 million in cost. Dan worked directly with the CFO at Rosetta where he learned valuable insights and techniques used to tell a successful financial story. He enjoys building strong relationships with others because he feels that regardless of how great your analysis is, it will always fall short of its maximum impact and reach without solid relationships and teamwork.

Since joining IMI, Romeo has transformed the Finance and Accounting department into a world class department, churning out Financial Reports by the 15th day of the month. Romeo is focused on implementing efficiency within the finance and accounting department to complete tasks and month end closing in a timely manner. He is producing budgets, forecast, and cost analysis for management which was not done prior. Open accounts receivable was a huge issue when Romeo joined IMI and within a few months, Romeo and his team reduced accounts receivable by over $1 million dollars. His persistence and relationship building helped him uncover $2 million in lost profitability due to poor data and inefficiencies within the finance and accounting department. Romeo’s contribution will make IMI more efficient and profitable because of better financial analysis and proper budgeting.
