For the consumer, its a whole new world of potentially bargain travel. But this depends on how companies approach it. The instantaneous nature of the site means that companies can promote limited-time offers and deals to all followers that can be snapped up in minutes. Used well, it should benefit everybody in this way.

(Shameless Plug, but one you may find interesting...) We&#039;re trying to provide a page that displays the best Twitter travel deals at twavel.com. The idea is that in the near future companies can enter a Twitter-Only deal onto the site, which gets tweeted by both our Twaveltalk profile and their own, spreading the word as far as possible. We give consumers the chance to vote for their favourites with the idea that the best deals provided will appear at the top of the list. 

Its just one example of how Twitter can be used by companies, and we think it has the potential to change the market for the forseeable future.</description>
