The IMI Campaigns That Won Hermes Creative Awards

The Hermes Creative Awards honor marketing professionals, advertising and design agencies, PR firms, production teams, and digital creators who are creative and original in their production of outstanding content pieces. It is an international competition with over 200 categories that judges entries based solely on creativity.

The Hermes competition has grown to be one of the largest in the world and is highly regarded in the industry. In April 2016, IMI was honored with five Hermes Creative Awards for best infographic, video, eBook, content marketing quiz, and website. IMI is passionate about the work we do and we are excited to share our campaign goals, strategy, and results of one of our gold winners: a video for Vdara Hotel & Spa – A Day In The Life of a V-dog. This video was designed to reach a very specific audience with one message: Vdara Hotel & Spa is a retreat for you and a paradise for your dog.

Overview

Vdara Hotel & Spa, Las Vegas, is a non-gaming, smoke-free, eco-friendly, boutique retreat on the Las Vegas Strip that offers one of the most exclusive, VIP, pet-friendly experiences in the country. Vdara knew their V-dog posh experience set them apart from their competition and they were looking for a way to showcase this program.

Internet Marketing Inc. (IMI) put themselves in the shoes of dog lovers and knew a video following a day-in-the-life of a Vdog pup would melt the hearts of pet lovers. It would also increase Vdara’s reach through social shares.

The video takes viewers on a journey through the luxurious amenities offered for dogs at Vdara Hotel & Spa including dog amenity upon arrival, in-suite dog dining menu, eco-friendly dog bowls, and 24-hour dog park access. The purpose of the video was to keep Vdara top of mind as a dog-friendly resort in Las Vegas.

Strategy

IMI created a short video to surprise, delight and inform Vdara’s engaged social audience about their Vdog program. The video was able to convey the real human (and canine) experience of the Vdog program, one which only Vdara can provide.

IMI relied on Vdara’s social media team to promote this video. Once the video went live on Vdara’s Facebook page, the views, shares and comments came in pretty quickly.

Results

This 42-second Vdog video garnered incredible results and continues to grow every day! It has also outperformed all other branded video posted on their social channels (specifically Facebook) by more than 3900%!
